East Croydon Gateway Site THE PUBLIC INQUIRY This took place in October and November 2007. In January 2008 Arrowcroft presented revised environmental information. We have made comments on those aspects affecting transport and crowd dispersal. A decision from the Secretary of State for Communities is expected on or before 30 July 2008. The Public Inquiry considered three things 1. Arrowcroft's planning application for a development including a 12,500 seat arena and night club 2. Croydon Council's Compulsory Purchase Order on the site to enable the Arrowcroft development 3. A stopping up order (i.e. the closure of a road) Proof of Evidence John Ingman, Chairman of Park Hill Residents Association, represented us along with HOME Residents Association and Morland Park Residents Association and the Croydon Transport Focus Group. We submitted what they call 'Proof of Evidence' on behalf of our and other residents associations. We objected to both the Arena Planning Application and the Croydon Council's Compulsory Purchase Order to enable the Arena to be built. Councillor Andrew Price spoke on behalf of the people of Addiscombe. Click on these links to see the documents we have submitted as Proof of Evidence.
